MAJOR ACHIVEMENTS

  • Anaesthesia for Organ Transplant (Cochlear, Renal), First transplant performed on October 13, 2022.
  • So far, nine kidney transplants have been performed. 244 cases of Cochlear implants done in last 2 years.
  • Anaesthesia in Intervention Cardiology and Radio Frequency Ablation.
  • Non operative room anaesthesia (Radiological Suite, Radiotherapy).
  • Bariatric Anaesthesia (62 Cases).
  • Live Workshops and Training Programs in Obstetrics, Urology, Robotics and Minimal Access Surgery.
  • Increase in number of ICU Beds from 7 to 62 with starting of 4 new ICUs in GMC Srinagar and Associated Hospitals in last four aa half years.
  • Starting of Super Specialty Theatre Complex and Achieving Goals of More than 5000 Super Specialty Cases per Year.
  • Starting of Maxillofacial Surgeries in Super Specialty Hospital on regular bases since last three years from the Department of Dental Surgery.
  • Constant promotion of research work and hands-on-training programs using simulator technology of resident doctors and consultants equally for improvement of skill and better patient outcome.
  • Special emphasis on teaching and learning process which is accomplished by thrice a week interactive classes and seminars on monthly basis.
  • Starting of DrNB in Critical Care three DrNB students per year.
  • FNB in Trauma and Critical Care three DrNB students per year.
  • Starting of FNB in Paediatric Anaesthesia three students in 2023.
  • B.Sc. Anaesthesia Technician since last three years at least 10 students per year.
  • Increase in number of post graduate seats from 24 to 35. This year got 32 only.
  • Palliative care and pain-management training for 10 districts of J&K union territory since last two
