Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC-GMCA)
GMC Anantnag was established in 2019 by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under a Centrally Sponsored Scheme. Apart from the duty to provide a high-quality community and patient-focused health care that is readily accessible, this college provides teaching and scientific research opportunities. The Institutional Ethics Committee, Government Medical College, Anantnag (IEC-GMCA) plays an important role in guiding researchers in the ethical aspects associated with the research. Apart from ethical issues, IEC-GMCA also reviews the research proposals for the scientific relevance and risk involved in research. IEC-GMCA functions as per the ICMR National Ethical Guidelines for Biomedical and Health Research involving Human Participant-2017, ICH-GCP and New Drugs and Clinical Trials Rules 2019.
