On behalf of the entire Govt College of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, GMC Anantnag fraternity, we are delighted to welcome you to our Institute. Govt College of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences was established in 2019. The Institution offers following six Nursing and Paramedical Courses B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc OTT, B.Sc Medical Lab Technology, B.Sc Radiography, B.Sc Renal Dialysis, and B.Sc Anesthesia with intake capacity as mentioned below. The admission to these courses is secured by qualifying JK Board of Professional Entrance Examination. The college is affiliated to University of Kashmir and State Nursing Council since 2020. The physical infrastructure of the college comprises of Smart Class Rooms, Computer Lab with 20 Nodes, College Library, Fully equipped Nursing Foundation Lab, Nutrition Lab etc. The teaching of students is being done strictly as per syllabus, prescribed by Indian Nursing Council and Kashmir University guidelines. Besides, usual training in Hospitals, B.Sc. Nursing students are posted in the Maternal and Child Health Centres and Primary Health Care Centres for field experience. During these postings they do the home visiting, and conduct health teaching programmes apart from the duties they have to perform in the centres. They actively participate in the various health care activities.

The primary concern of the Govt College of Nursing & Paramedical Sciences, GMC Anantnag is to develop compassionate, professionally excellent, ethically sound individuals through education and training who will go out as servant-leaders of health teams. Their service may be in promotive, preventive, curative, rehabilitative or palliative aspects of healthcare. Our commitment is to endow the students with innovative, in-depth and high-level learning, develop their moral values, and empower them with skills and attributes of an ingenious problem solver and critical thinker. We prepare our students to confidently face the challenges of the highly competitive world and career progression, and also nurture them to become responsible human beings who are able to effectively deliver the needs of a developing nation. The College ensures friendly, supportive and safe environment through various measures that make the Campus a zero-tolerance-campus for ragging, and smoking. The Faculty of Nursing has been working towards the achievement of following objectives, ever since its inception: 1. To provide quality education and training to students at the undergraduate level. 2. To provide quality education and prepare humane and competent global nursing and paramedical professionals capable of rendering highest level of quality patient care and make contribution towards education and research in the field of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences. 3. To make the nurses pursuing undergraduate course capable of providing sound health care. 4. To work with other members of health team and community in promotion of health, prevention of illness, restoration of health and rehabilitation.
